Viren Baraiya is Co-Founder and CTO of Orkes and a co-creator of Netflix Conductor, the open-source workflow orchestration engine that originated at Netflix in 2016. Through Orkes, he applies durable-execution patterns to agentic AI systems, arguing that most agent systems fail beyond POC because they reimplement orchestration inside an LLM loop instead of separating planning from reliable, durable execution.
