About this app
This isn't an official AIE World's Fair app — it's a hacker project built on the session and speaker data AIE publishes. The data syncs hourly while the lineup is still in flux; I'll tighten it as-needed when the conference starts.
Who built this
I'm Bryan. I work at Datex, building the warehouse management software that runs several hundred 3PL facilities.
Most of my work right now is on the unglamorous side of adopting AI inside an established software company — the parts that aren't solved yet:
Why I built it
I wanted a clean way to compare session picks with the people I'm going with, and an excuse to build something end-to-end with some fun experimental features.
The session recommender grew out of that, and a lot of its design came from working through it with Jaimie Weber.
Her day job is the more consequential one: as VP of Medical Informatics and AI Strategy at Tampa General, she's behind work like a project that resulted in a 68% cut to early sepsis mortality across the system - saving about 900 lives and counting so far.
