Owen Halpert is a Software Development Engineer at AWS on the OpenSearch Vector Database team, where he is a substantial contributor to the k-NN plugin's Remote Vector Index Build feature for GPU-accelerated vector indexing. He independently built the orchestrator client that interfaces with the GPU fleet, and his merged work spans GPU index building, metric collection, and parameter tuning/benchmarking.
