Most people meet AI agents as a chat bot. In this hands-on workshop you will build one that works while you are not watching. Starting from an empty directory, you will install Kiro Crew, an open-source orchestration layer for coding agents, and ship a working app: an agent that reads your repository’s open issues, finds the duplicates, explains why it thinks so, and posts its findings on a schedule. Along the way you will give the agent persistent memory so it stops re-reading what it already knows, fan the work out across background subagents so a thousand issues do not take a thousand turns, and set the boundary that decides what it may and may not touch. Bring a laptop and a GitHub repository you care about. You will leave with the app running, and with a clear picture of what separates a demo from something you would actually let run unattended.
